Nintendo.com is the official Nintendo website in North America. Launched in 1995[1], Nintendo.com has changed dramatically throughout the years.

Features

Nintendo.com contains many features such as pages for the Nintendo Switch, previously past Nintendo consoles and handhelds, games for the Nintendo Switch and formerly other Nintendo systems, amiibo, game videos, and formerly Flash games, as well as a Code Bank and Master Game List, both which have been removed in 2007 and 2013 respectively (with the latter moving from the main section of the site since 2007). In addition, the site includes a Community element which allows users to sign up and become My Nintendo (formerly Club Nintendo) members for features such as going onto the My Nintendo site to redeem points on awards and formerly game registration till Club Nintendo closed in 2015, and access to the Nintendo NSider Forums till it closed in 2007. The site also contains Play Nintendo, a website with small kid-friendly printouts, videos, and games based on game franchises like Mario, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda (Toon versions of characters from games such as The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD), and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

Forums

Nintendo added forums to the site in late 2003, which were shut down a few years later in 2007. There were boards for all the major Nintendo systems and franchises at the time, as well as boards for Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection games and a set of Nintendo Power boards for fan reviews, fan art, fan fiction, and general gaming-related discussion.
